You Want Attention? Pay For It: A Brutal Overhaul of Australia’s Toxic Social Media
Social media has become a disgusting cesspit. It’s overrun with bots, scammers, professional trolls, and gutless pseudonymous cowards hiding behind fake names and stolen avatars. What should have been a tool for connection has turned into a toxic sewer that amplifies the worst people in society while suffocating anyone trying to have a serious conversation.
Enough is enough. Australia must force every major social media platform to implement a harsh new system: Real Identity + Pay-to-Play. No mercy for the digital parasites anymore.
The New Rules
1. Mandatory Real Identity Verification (KYC)
Every single user must verify with government-issued ID.
- Your username must be your full legal name.
- Your profile picture must be your real face from your government digital ID.
- You must be above the age of 15.
- Children under 15 can be observant users of social media content with their accounts directly linked to their parents/caretakers.
No more pseudonymous accounts. No more fake names. No more cartoon avatars or stolen photos.
If you don’t have the guts to stand behind your words with your real name and real face, then don't say it. Either keep it to yourself or pass your message to someone brave enough to attach their identity to it. No more hiding in the shadows like cowards while spreading poison.
2. You Want Attention? Pay For It
A monthly subscription will make people think twice before vomiting their stupidity online. The endless flood of low-effort garbage, rage bait, and bot spam will finally die.
3. Total Ban on All Ads
All traditional advertising must be ripped out of Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and every other platform. No more algorithmic mind control. No more turning Australians into products.
4. The Official Ads App
All ads will be moved to a separate government-regulated ads app. Users get paid for their time — minimum $1 per ad after watching and answering verification questions. Your attention should pay you, not enrich foreign billionaires.
Why This Must Happen?
The comment sections on X and other platforms are an absolute abomination — filled with brain-dead bots, scammers, and anonymous losers who attack, lie, and stir division without ever showing their face.
This policy will slaughter the bots and scammers overnight. It will expose the pseudonymous cowards who currently ruin public discourse. Real identity + financial skin in the game = serious content and actual accountability.
This is not censorship. This is basic civilisation. Freedom of speech does not mean the right to anonymously shit all over the public square for free.

The government have allowed foreign tech companies to poison our society, radicalise our young people, and destroy civil conversation — all while hiding behind "free speech" excuses.
No more. If you want attention in Australia, you will pay for it both with money and with your real name and face. The age of digital cowardice, bot armies, and anonymous scum is over. It’s time for a Radical Reset.
