Structural Change to Lebanon’s Voting System

Lebanon’s electoral system is an abomination. Voters are disconnected, ignorant, and easily manipulated by slogans, sectarian loyalty, and empty promises. They rarely know who actually represents them, and the system rewards lifelong parasites who betray the people the moment they get elected. This cancer has destroyed trust, enabled corruption, and kept Lebanon in a permanent state of failure.

The new system will be “Electronic, Quiz-based Alignment Voting". Before you vote, you must complete a mandatory survey of at least 100 detailed questions on policy. The system then generates a ranked list of the top 10 candidates who actually align with your real positions not the ones you emotionally feel represented by. This forces every voter to confront reality instead of living in comfortable illusions.

Key Rules for Candidates

To break political alliances, tribal voting blocs, and the culture of betrayal, every candidate running for presidency or state parliament must meet two strict requirements:

- Each candidate must present at least 5 unique proposals that are their own — no copied slogans, no recycled bullshit.

- Each candidate must disagree with all other candidates by at least 10% of the total proposals. This forces real differentiation and kills the fake unity and backroom coalitions that have poisoned our politics for decades.

No political parties. No coalitions. No more hiding behind collective hypocrisy. Candidates run and serve as independent individuals, strictly bound to the agenda they campaigned on. No adding, no subtracting, no compromise after the vote. The Supreme Court will enforce this with iron oversight.

Additional Structural Changes:

1. No more fake electoral divisions — voters in a state can vote for any candidate running for that state’s parliament.

2. No more political instability — the president and all state legislatures are elected on the same national election day.

3. No more uninformed and apathetic voters — the mandatory quiz destroys slogans and forces people to think.

4. No more career politicians and institutional capture — existing officials (legislatures, presidents, director generals, supreme judges) are limited to one term limit (5 years) while previous officials including ministers and prime ministers are barred from holding any position of power again.

5. The president and legislatures will truly represent their constituents because the system is built on real alignment, not emotional tribalism.

This is not gentle reform. This is radical surgery. The old system rewarded liars, careerists, and sectarian warlords. The new system demands honesty, clarity, and accountability.

The Lebanese people have suffered enough under the illusion of democracy. Alignment Voting ends the illusion and forces reality back into politics.

Lebanon either evolves or it dies.
